Travel India | Spiritual Tour Itinerary
Day 1 | Upon arrival in Delhi, we will gather at the hotel for introductions and a tour briefing, followed by a delightful welcome dinner.
Day 2 | Agra & the Taj Mahal - An early start as we depart for Agra and the mesmerising Taj Mahal. Witness the magical beauty of this iconic monument during a sunrise tour. Marvel at the intricate architecture and the symbol of undying love that it represents. After the visit, we will return to Delhi and rest overnight before flying to Varanasi.
Day 3 | Explore Varanasi (aka Banaras). After checking in at our accommodation in Varanasi, we will embark on an informal stroll along the infamous ghats. Varanasi, India's spiritual capital, offers a profound experience with its ghats, temples, and vibrant culture. Witness the rituals, ablutions, and ceremonies along the banks of the sacred Ganges River. In the evening, we will visit Assi Ghats and partake in the enchanting Ganga aarti prayer ceremony, floating our own lamps down the river.
Day 4 | Varanasi Tour & Sail along Ganges Embarking on a private tour of Varanasi, we will immerse ourselves in the sacred traditions of the city. Attend the morning Ganga aarti ceremony at Assi Ghat, sail along the holy waters of the Ganges, visit the revered Vishwanath temple, and learn about the various ghats. Conclude the day with a cup of chai or the famous lassi of Varanasi.
Day 5 | Varanasi Eating Tour - Today is dedicated to experiencing the local food scene. Embark on a walking tour, stopping at various dhabas (cafes) to savour the flavours of Varanasi. Indulge in the culinary delights while exploring the city's vibrant streets and alleyways.
Day 6 | Discover Rishikesh & Ashram Life - Fly from Varanasi to Rishikesh, where we will transfer to a renowned ashram for a four-night stay. Nestled in the serene mountains, this ashram offers a sanctuary for wellness experiences, including yoga, meditation, and vedic rituals. Immerse yourself in the tranquility settle in.
Day 7 | Sightseeing Laxman Jhula & Ram Jhula After breakfast and a rejuvenating yoga session, we will explore Rishikesh on foot. Visit Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, iconic landmarks that offer breathtaking views of the Ganges. Experience the spiritual ambiance, explore the ashrams and temples along the edge of the Ganga, and embrace the serene atmosphere of this sacred place.
Day 8 | Vashistha Cave & Satsang with Swami Ji -Embark on a visit to Vashistha Cave, an ancient site where Sage Vashishtha meditated for an extended period. Immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings and feel a profound sense of calm. Later, attend a satsang with Swami Ji, a respected spiritual teacher, and delve deeper into the teachings of non-duality and self-realization.
Day 9 | Satsang with Guru & Kirtan - Check into a boutique guest house owned by an Indian-English couple. Attend a satsang with a Guru who shares his living experience of Oneness and guides spiritual seekers towards their highest potential. Experience the transformative power of kirtan, a form of devotional music that promotes a deep connection with oneself and others.
Day 10 | Kunjapuri Temple at Sunrise, Bathing in the Ganges & Ganga Aarti
On this day, we will rise early and embark on a private transport journey to Kunjapuri Temple, located 25 km north of Rishikesh. This majestic temple stands at an elevation of 1645 meters, dedicated to Goddess Shakti and Lord Shiva. Witness the breathtaking sunrise over the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains and immerse yourself in the sacred atmosphere. We will then trek down to Rishikesh through lush forests, stopping along the way for freshly brewed tea. You can also take a refreshing dip in the natural ponds and waterfalls we encounter during the trek.
In the warm afternoon, you will have the opportunity to bathe in the holy Ganges. The Ganges River holds immense significance in Hinduism and is personified as the goddess Ganga. Hindus believe that bathing in the river purifies the soul and leads to spiritual liberation. In this part of India, the river is clean and safe for immersion, allowing you to experience this sacred ritual.
In the evening, we will walk to Ram Jhula to participate in the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti. Held at Parmarth Niketan, this sunset ceremony attracts visitors from all walks of life, transcending language and culture. Experience the divine energy as the aarti connects with your heart and transports you to a heavenly realm.
Day 11 | Rafting down the Ganges OR 3-night stay at Jungle Ashram
After breakfast, we will embark on an adventure trip by rafting down the gorges of the Ganges. This experience is not only about rafting but also about connecting with the river's beauty and energy. The Ganges holds a mystical allure, and rafting on its sacred waters is a truly unforgettable experience. We will return in the afternoon for a late lunch, and the rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore.
OR alternatively, we may take oursevles off to the Jungle ashram for a 3-night stay in the most serene, recently built Jungle ashram. Here we will immerse ourselves in true, pure ashram living in the most incredible environment. Wake at dawn, practice meditation and yoga, followed by fire puja and then a late breakfast. Later, take a walk in nature, bathe in the flowing river, relax in the sunshine.
Day 12 | Visit the Famous Beatles Ashram
After breakfast, we will cross the Ram Jhula bridge and visit the renowned "Beatles ashram." In 1968, the legendary English rock band, the Beatles, attended an advanced Transcendental Meditation Yoga course at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's ashram. Known locally as Chaurasi Kutia, this site now showcases Beatles graffiti and art. Nestled within the Rajaji National Park, with the River Ganges flowing peacefully behind it, the ashram provides a unique blend of music and spirituality. We'll enjoy a cup of chai while sitting on the ghats and then take a boat ride back over the Ganges to our accommodation. Later, we'll visit Parmath Niketan and Triveni Ghat to witness the Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing ceremony dedicated to the holy river.
Day 13 | Ayurvedic Cooking Class
Today, we'll participate in an Ayurvedic cooking lesson, where we'll learn how to prepare several traditional dishes. This class goes beyond cooking; it offers an opportunity to step inside an Indian home and immerse yourself in Indian culture. You'll spend time with an Indian family, exchanging experiences and creating lasting memories. In the evening, we'll have a farewell dinner, sharing stories and reflecting on our incredible adventures.
Day 14 | Departure
Today marks the end of our spiritual India tour, but it is not the end of our spiritual journey. After breakfast, you are free to depart at your leisure to your next destination or the airport in Delhi.
Please note that the cost of travel to your next destination is not covered in your package. Our My Spiritual India Tour staff will assist you in arranging transportation or provide advice for your onward plans.

Payment Terms: A US$500 deposit is required to secure your place on our Indian Adventure package tour. The balance is due 45 days prior to the start date of your India tour.
